Sector 85

Base Invaders II. I never really participated in one before, because I don't spend money on the game, and I refuse to buy a ship just to be cooler than my neighbor. The prize this time is basically a seawolf, with 7 guns instead of 5. Great, another coiner toy.

This sector is totally cool. Haven't had bad words with anyone and there's no in-sector hitting allowed... plenty of salvage to relax and hunt for blueprints.

But y'know, once the raid started I figured I should go see if anything's changed from the last one.
Nope, same fleets and outposts and massive draconian range... same lag. Yep, not gonna bother. I share my disappointment with a few other folks in comms.

I could use some resources so I hit a few smaller level outposts, and I hoped to get a couple quotas done. The quota prize is armor for the base turrets. That'd be NICE!

I aim 8 fleets, each with a leviathan in front, 2 barges, a marauder and a longship. I dont plan on piloting all 8 of the fleets of course, I just don't want to take damage on the big ships, when I can simply throw my instant repair longships and marauders in there, to absorb incoming enemy fire.

"WTF BONDAI!! I didn't ask for YOUR HELP" says some jackhole named Ur_My_B1tch_Now_FU.
Big ocean fella, get over it.

Dude attacked my remaining barge and levi, sunk them easily with his Hammerheads...
I sat quietly in amazement for a moment then said in comms "Really Dumbass? Did you really just sink my fleet cuz I joined a battle with you?"

"I WAS THERE FIRST!!!" He was really making a big issue out of nothing, but it was okay. I told him, in no uncertain terms, that I was going to sink all of his fleets now. He kept telling me how pathetic I am and that I am all talk, just like he thought I was. I gave him my base coords, and told him he can go ahead and try.

He did try, but I launched my seawolfs RIGHT when he got to my base, so while he was trapped in there, losing his fleet (quickly I might add) I sank his HH fleet and his FF fleet without damage.
"Nice Base" he says (I'm wrapping up his second fleet)
I know
"Sarcasm"

After his FFs die he sees that I've sunk his others. He's going OFF so I egg'd him on, telling him how easily I just killed his fleets, and that I'm going to continue sinking his fleets all weekend, and that he's made a mistake.

"Easy to kill fleets that arent piloting!!! Pssy!!"
Yeah, I know.

He docked the rest of his fleets as I chased him back and forth. He's going off, and now his alliance is saying things like "Bondai if you keep sinking him I'll get involved and you don't want that"
Do what you need to do dude. I'm going to keep sinking his fleets all weekend. As of right now, he's the only one I'm after.

"Bondai you shouldn't have joined the battle... Bondai you shouldn't have attacked his fleets... Bondai you shouldnt have invited him into your base like that"
He's lost 9 FFs and 5 HHs so far, and I've lost 3 turrets. I'm grinning, morons. Keep talking.

Several folks in the comms backed me up, and some of them took this other guys side, while their alliance leader is trying to explain how this is all my fault.
"bondai do you want a bubble, to make sure they don't get you"
Nope. If they crater my base, I'll be back in 2 hours, when my dock is repaired. Then this raid will be all yours, without any of their alliance winning even a quota prize :)

classic kixeye form, they screwed something up and the game crashed for a while. I went to go hang out with my nephew. When I came back 4 hours later that guy had logged off. I went to his base and damaged all his researching buildings, and smashed his rocket platform (Long time to repair those).

Again, his alliance got all mad, and I told them how much that bothered me. When that guy logged in again, I sent fleets toward him, and I even told  him I was headed for him. He docked his ships and I didn't see him online again. Still haven't.

I won first prize in the raid. Sloaney won second. Another partner in our group, Tokahontis, won fourth. One of the FU alliance members won third place. YellowDevil would have been up there with us too, but he was hunting for blueprints and got the one he was after!

Sloaney, I'm in great mood now, let's go slash and burn 429 again.
